(VIDEO) World’s Worst – O’Reilly, Hinderaker, Broun

From: TheSexyPatriot

Rep. Paul Broun (R) of Georgia is among the many Americans who aren’t at all sure of exactly what agenda President-Elect Barack Obama has planned for our country. In an Associated Press interview, Paul Broun’s ‘Obama dictatorship’ comments came about when he compared Obama’s proposal of a civilian national security force to that of the infamous Gestapo of Germany in World War II. The basis of Rep. Broun’s concerns stems from a speech in July, when then candidate Obama stated, “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” [emphasis added] Rep. Paul Broun fears an eventual Obama dictatorship under which civil liberties, such as the right to bear arms, will be taken away from the People based upon his campaign platform.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday that she would be honored to help President-Gov. Sarah Palin says she will support President-elect Barack Obama and his new administration.elect Barack Obama in his new administration, even if he did hang around with an “unrepentant domestic terrorist.”

Gov. Sarah Palin says she will support President-elect Barack Obama and his new administration.

The Alaska governor said in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that she would be willing to help if Obama asked her for assistance on some of the issues she highlighted during this year’s campaign, such as energy or services for special-needs children.

“It would be my honor to assist and support our new president and the new administration,” said Palin, whom Sen. John McCain chose as his running mate in August.

“I speak for other Republicans and Republican governors, also,” she said.

“They would be willing also to seize this opportunity that we have to progress this nation together, in a united front.”

But asked moments later about some of the tough rhetoric she hurled from the stump, she said she was “still concerned” about Obama’s ties to former Weather Underground member-turned-Chicago college professor William Ayers. Video Watch Palin discuss how she could help Obama »

Matthews: SOMEONE GIVE PLAIN A Constitution

MATTHEWS: No, that’s not the role of the Vice President. I gave you a shot, Nancy, I want you to try again. What is the Constitutional role of the Vice President? In the Constitution? What’s written in the Constitution? You’re…look, you’re all strict constructionists…

PFOTENHAUER: I’m not a Constitutional scholar but I do know …

MATTHEWS: Have you ever read it?

SARAH PALIN $150K FOR CLOTHES

Mainly, however, Democrats (in this scenario) are not prone to forgiveness. After all, it was during this same campaign cycle that Republicans belittled the $400 haircut that former Sen. John Edwards had paid for with his own campaign money (the funds were later reimbursed). And yet, the comparison to that once-dominant news story is hardly close: if Edwards had gotten one of his legendary haircuts every singe week, it would still take him 7.2 years to spend what Palin has spent. Palin has received the equivalent of $2,500 in clothes per day from places such as Saks Fifth Avenue (where RNC expenditures totaled nearly $50,000) and Neiman Marcus (where the governor had a $75,000 spree).

McCAIN 2008 vs McCAIN 2000 on Wealthy Paying More Taxes

Audience member: “Why is it that someone like my father who goes to school for 13 years gets penalized in a huge tax bracket because he’s a doctor.”

McCain: “I think it’s to some degree because we feel obviously that wealthy people can afford more.”

Audience member: “Are we getting closer and closer to, like, socialism?”

McCain: “Here’s what I really believe: That when you reach a certain level of comfort, there’s nothing wrong with paying somewhat more.”
